Root Movements
Root Movements is a collaborative effort between Old Soul Entertainment and TwinPeaks Music. This monthly event is held the first Wednesday of every month at The Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis, IN. Root Movements features local, national and international artist with heavy Soul and Jazz influences. The night is commonly referred to as a Jazz Infusion night. From month to month, the genre of music as well as the size of the crowd changes. One month you could come and experience a intimate night of all Jazz/Soul singers with 70 people in attendance. Another month could be live Hip-Hop over Jazz and soul breaks/samples with 250 people. These elements are by design. Doors open at 7PM. Show starts about 8PM. 21& Over. $7.

Jazz / Fusion group, Kool's Bazaar.
Kools Bazaar (Kb) is the brainchild of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated member and young musical visionary, Richard Trotman and was formed in June of 09. Kb is an extension of the jazz/fusion semi-cover band, Acoustic Red and was created out of a need for Trotman to exercise his musical freedom and break away from the constraints and limitations of solely instrumental music. As a creative artistic collective, Kb plays original, stylized fusion music with influences from jazz, blues, neo-soul, hip hop, trip hop, rock, and electronica.

At any given time the band consists of 5 multi-instrumentalist with the option(s) of horn(s), percussionist(s), guitarist(s), bassist(s), pianist(s), with lyricist(s), vocalist(s), and DJ. It is an organization that expresses and encompasses the theoretical, emotional and aesthetic qualities of music.
The heart of the band consists of Nazeeha Khalid (Vocalist), Rich Trotman (Pianist & Composer), Joe Elliott (Percussionist), Jesse Thompson (Bassist), Adam Thompson (Saxophonist), and Bobby Davis (Aux Keys).
